Standardized tests, like the WASL, are the biggest movement toward school improvement in the country. Open-ended or essay questions are the gold standard of standardized tests. But how are those kinds of questions are graded? On the next Learning Curve, local people who actually scored tests for America’s biggest testing company lift the veil of secrecy and talk about what goes on behind the scenes. It’s an eye-opening experience for parents, teachers and students.
